
Aims and Future Plans
As with any other community group Forres in Bloom has ongoing projects and future plans. During the next twelve months we intend working with partner groups, some of the issues to be addressed are as follows:
Continue to review choice of plant material and condition of flower beds and permanent planting.
Continue to involve children, residents and groups in cleanliness and horticultural initiatives.
Redevelop Forres in Bloom website in partnership with Forres Community Website.
Commence negotiations with The Moray Council to enter into partnership agreement for use of Wee FlBbees garden.
Seek funding to upgrade Wee FiBbees Garden to make it accessible for all, to provide raised beds and educational signage.
Design and market postcards for sale in tourist outlets and local businesses
Work with Moray Town Partnership to improve Welcome to Forres signage and install multi-purpose advertising banners.
Continue to support Community Warden with Adopt a Street and Green Dog Walker initiatives.
Continue to work with Moray Waste Busters, Transition Town Forres, Forres Community Garden and Master Composters to share educational and social events.
Continue to support Forres Heritage 2010 in a bid to develop the Tolbooth as a heritage and community facility.
Particpate in initiative to work with Highlands and Islands Enterprise to establish Forres Area Trust.
Consultation with FCWT and The Moray Council about woodland ownership and future use
Initiate Adopt a Bed scheme to look after beds no longer maintained by The Moray Council
